C-Section Recovery is challenging for many women and a deeper approach is required to ensure their recovery is a truly inside-out affair. Which is where this programme comes in – assisting you with your deep recovery and a return to awesome, fully functioning abdominals!

Who’s the programme for?

The programme is for any woman who has had a C-Section, no matter how long ago you had one, and is perfect for you if:

  • You have a painful or uncomfortable scar that you want to free up.
  • You feel disconnected to your tummy and pelvic floor since your C-Section.
  • Your scar hurts after any lifting or an exercise session.
  • You’ve noticed changed to your bowel movements since your C-Section.
  • You want to know more about pelvic floor, core and overall health.
  • You’ve experienced the odd leak when jumping, running, laughing or sneezing.
  • You have lower back or hip pain issues that may be related to a ‘weak core’.
  • You want a better looking tummy but you know it’s an inside out job and need to go deeper and work smarter than just doing ‘sit ups’.

If you’ve experienced any of the above then this is the programme for you!

What to expect

In the UK nearly a 1/4 of births are via C-Section yet there is no real guidance on how to heal successfully from such a major procedure or how to reconnect to the core, never mind deal with any soft tissue issues that arise from these types of procedures.

So this programme (with not a sit up in sight) is all about healing from the inside out and smart, modern movement programming to get your core ‘fit’ and functioning again. We begin with a deep assessment of your core strength and the scar area and then the programme will involve hands on massage therapy, nutrition, scar tissue release and postural re-alignment before we then move onto the core restore exercises and programme appropriate movement into your routine.

Before we begin the programme, we’ll carry out an online consultation to discuss your pre-screening form, talk about your recovery and begin to create some strategies to help with your recovery. 

Then, we will meet face to face for our first scar therapy / movement session and then continue to meet either in person or via Zoom every 3 weeks or so. You will also be provided with bespoke homework to do in between sessions and support throughout.
